So I was tasked with writing a white paper and with the help of one of the brightest minds at Quest, Ilia Sotnikov, I managed to get it published. I owe Ilia a callout for pushing me to blog and for getting the link to the paper posted first SharePoint Recovery . This paper should be considered an overview of tools and features to review and is focused on WSS v3 and MOSS 2007.
The purpose behind writing this document was to give a big picture, before you proceed to a detailed planning and design for SharePoint recovery and disaster planning.
If you have any thoughts, corrections, comments or general input leave me a note and I will work to get back to you.
Again I appreciate the assist from Ilia who is truly a dedicated PM with Quest who is always focused on doing the right thing no matter how hard.
